Admission Policy
Registration
for the September through June school year begins the January
prior to September.
Families
interested in obtaining information about the programs at
Castleton Hill
may call the school to receive a brochure.
An Open House
is held on the last Saturday each January. At that event,
parents and their children are invited to visit the school, tour
the building,
meet with teachers and gather information about the early
childhood program
at Castleton Hill Moravian Preschool.
Open registration
begins on the first Saturday in February
and is on a first-come/first serve basis.
Pre-registration
-
Families
with children who are currently enrolled in the preschool
may pre-register those children as well as siblings on the
Monday
following Open House.

Families
who are members of Castleton Hill Moravian Church in good
standing may pre-register their children on the Monday
following
Open House.

Families
who are alumni of Castleton Hill Moravian Preschool
may pre-register their children on the Tuesday following
Open House.
To enter a
program at the Preschool your child:
- must be the
age of the class enrolled in by December 31 of that school year
(a copy of the birth certificate may be required)
- must be
toilet trained (except the Toddler programs) and able to
independently
use the toilet as well as redress her/himself.
- must have a
health form and a physical completed by the family physician
or clinic in compliance with the NYC Department of Health before
September.
- will be
observed prior to admission.

Tuition
At the time
of registration one month’s tuition plus a $35 registration fee
is required. This tuition payment is applied to your tuition for
the month
of June of the school year being registered. A second advance
tuition payment
is due May also to be applied to the May tuition payment of the
school year registered. Your next scheduled tuition payment will
be September 1st.
Monthly payments continue through April 1st .

The
registration fee and advanced tuition payments are
non-refundable.
Transfer of tuition deposits may be made to a registered
sibling within
one year of the date on the Registration Agreement.

No
reduction in tuition will be made for absence due to illness,
vacation or personal reasons. Tuition is due as scheduled.

A 10%
tuition discount is available for each child when siblings
are registered during the same school year.

A 10%
discount is also available to Castleton Hill Moravian Church
members in good standing.

Financial
assistance may be available to families when the need arises
due to financial difficulties. Applications are available in
the preschool office
and are reviewed by the Preschool Committee. All information
will be kept
confidential. Scholarships are awarded on an as-needed basis.
